Cardiff Metro Bank colleague Alicia Malfatti recently engaged 120 pupils from year 5 and year 6 at Dinas Powys Primary School in an enlightening Money Zone Programme. Greg Harris, a Metro Bank colleague, and resident of Hornchurch recently achieved a significant personal milestone by participating in the prestigious London Marathon to support Cancer Research UK a cause close to his heart.

Orange Vests, Big Hearts

The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Organized by Marian Omatsone and Mark Elliot-Brown, 18 colleagues from Metro Bank’s Payments and Mortgage team took to the streets, donned in vibrant orange vests and t-shirts to join forces with Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC) staff at the 23-mile mark of the iconic London Marathon. Their mission: to create an atmosphere of encouragement, cheers, and unwavering support for all 50 runners in support of RSBC.

Seven colleagues from Metro Bank’s Asset Finance team have recently volunteered at Shooting Star Children’s Hospice a charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
